Alan feels there has never been a defining moment when he realised he was psychic. “I come from a long line of Romany gypsies who have always practiced fortune-telling”, he explains. “My nan, who passed many years ago when I was a boy, used to read tea leaves for friends & family as well as work hands-free”. During your psychic reading, he may also call on one of his Guides. He connects through Psychic Feeling, perceiving information by “feeling” various energies, which can sometimes take him into a state of trance (even if it is for a few moments, he says it feels like forever). In this moment, he says that he is transported elsewhere – be that your past, present or future. He interprets his feelings of emotion and relays the key messages he receives around a person, place or situation that the Universe feels you need to know. Alan Drew can work hands-free or with tools. He tends to use his tools as a visual aid for his clients, but sometimes uses them to help him connect to his clients who live long-distance. “They can help me build up a vibration and energy which in turn helps me connect with them through the heart chakra”, he says. He doesn’t have a favourite tool, instead believes they all serve an important purpose during his psychic readings. His various decks of tarot cards include his Relationship Cards, Career Cards and Wisdom Cards. He also has a Labradorite Crystal Ball which he says can give him insight on many matters. He could also use his Ogham Staves which are an ancient Celtic prophesying tool which he enjoys using. Alan doesn’t have a common approach when it comes to reading for first-time clients as he feels every individual who comes to him is unique. “What works for one person may not necessarily work for another”, he says. “However, I treat each client with compassion, understanding, empathy and love”. He wants his clients to feel at ease but his direct and authoritative manner will only be for those who come to him open-minded. “A good psychic will only tell the truth and not just what you want to hear!” he states with conviction. “When it comes to having a psychic reading, the client really needs to think about the questions they are asking and whether they really want to know the answers to them. Hearing what we think is the truth, unfortunately, can be a harsh reality for the client”. In his spare time, Alan meditates daily, hones his skills with crystals, enjoys road trips on his bicycle and long walks in the countryside, forests and of course, by the sea! He attends spiritual art workshops and his favourite music varies from Rock to Folk, Inspirational to Classical. He’s currently studying Hopi Ear Candling and Head Massage Therapy, Reiki, Acupuncture, Numerology and Astrology.
