2022 PREDICTIONS: OVERVIEW FOR ALL ZODIAC SIGNS
Already as soon we hit the New Year, January 2022 is very likely to impact us all! We start 2022 with a lovely, earthy New Moon in Capricorn. This can give new beginnings in all kinds of practical affairs, including business as well as for future prospects.
GOOD NEWS ON LUCK AND EXPANSION!
One very piece of big news for us all, is that Jupiter, the Planet of Good Fortune is now directly transiting in Pisces. This kicks January off with a considerably more good luck than last year, or indeed the year before! Now that Jupiter is back in his own home sign, he can really start to work on making things happen regarding good fortune. This only happens once every 12 years or so! With Jupiter in his element, expansion also looks positive and favoured.
Just to allow you to understand the importance of Jupiter, in 2020 and 2021 Jupiter transited Aquarius. The focus of this was regarding our needs as a community, mental agility to find solutions, innovations and humanitarianism. However, Jupiter is Aquarius is not a happy transit overall.
In Pisces, Jupiter really shines. This gives us positive omens for travel, faith, philosophy for life, and bringing dreams to light. There is something truly spiritual and warming about this transit. In May, Jupiter has a visit into Aries for a few months, to give us a foretaste of 2023. This can suit fire signs in particular. In October, Jupiter returns into Pisces, and is in his element once again.
SATURN, THE KARMIC TASK MASTER!
Saturn is the karmic Planet of Order and Disorder. Through his ruling, we learn through lessons. We may expect to see new, ingenious ideas floating around this year, as Saturn continues to bimble along in alternative Aquarius. This creates a rather dispassionate, yet necessary, outlook with regards to brotherhood and humanity in general.
Some of you could feel matters are rather unjustified or unorthodox, with this quirky Saturn/Aquarius transition this year. But, this mostly applies in terms of government and politics. New systems are likely be introduced that may appear illogical to some, yet liberating to others.
Matters to do with church, faith and spirituality are also really bought back into the mix. This gives us a real reason to be hopeful about other possibilities that relate to the ethereal, the transparent and the compassionate.
URANUS BRINGS ON THE SURPRISES!
Uranus is also due to go direct around 18th January after its retrograde period. This means that the Planet of Unpredictable Events and Change is all fired up for more shock and surprises in Taurus this year! General matters concerning the earth, work and finances and the fruit we bear are affected. We may find Uranus highlights how we develop and generate our business on and off-line, in order to keep sales and profits balanced.
PLUTO IN CAPRICORN
Pluto is the Planet of Transformation. It is a small Planet, but in astrology, it is a reckoning force. Many view Pluto as a Planet with rather dark energy, since it often influences change and transformation through destruction. But, let’s face it, to reach new pastures, you must leave old pastures behind. To have real success, you must go through a process which is often difficult along the way.
Pluto spend between 12 and 30 years in one sign. Since November 27th 2008, Pluto has been transiting Capricorn. This has to do with all matters concerning the earth, governments, customs, and generally speaking how we live our lives and under what rules. With Pluto approaching the end of its journey through Capricorn in 2024, this current year will continue to see struggles between people and governments, issues about rights and being told what to do. Ultimately it is also about getting the balance right between ourselves as individuals, and also as part of the collective.
Cardinal signs, Libra and Cancer will undoubtedly feel the presence of Pluto this year. It will be a case of deciding what is staying put and what isn’t!
AMAZING NEPTUNE CONJUNCTION!
Neptune is the Planet of Imagination and Inspiration. Neptune is one of the outer Planets, and is currently transiting Pisces. This transit began in 2012 and will continue until 2026. It can create wells of emotion of all kinds in Pisces. So, you may notice that since 2012, and especially since 2016 or so, you have felt more emotional than usual. Getting lost in your thoughts is also a common occurrence. But with Neptune in Pisces, we care, we love, we, hurt, we have compassion.
In 2022, there is an absolutely amazing Neptune/Jupiter conjunction in Pisces, during April 2022. This will last several days, between April 9th-12th. This particular conjunction has not taken place since 1856, so it’s a biggie! This is a moment to observe both globally and for yourself. Fantastic energy is to be had, and possible breakthroughs. A stroke of luck and a big one at that!
MARS AND VENUS- EARTH AND FIRE!
In January, Mars, the masculine Planet of Drive and Determination, continues to fire on through Sagittarius, shooting his arrow to give us zest and energy! And as we enter January 2022, Venus is in retrograde. Here, Venus meets with Pluto in Capricorn. and brings about intense or controlling feelings in the love department. In addition, this can bring in new relationships, that can be hugely transforming, for better or for worse.
There can be a feeling of rather a heavy mantle and duty with Venus in Capricorn.. Like the type that marries for the principles of practicality, rather than for lust or romance. Often, there is a sense that relationships can feel too arranged rather than natural. But with Venus being so close to Pluto, you know that any relationship, whether business or pleasure at this time of year, will have a tempestuous touch to it. Be cool, but not too cool!
MARS RETROGRADE
Mars will go retrograde in Gemini toward the end of October. In Gemini, Mars can be quite confrontational with words, and be a little dull-witted and listless whilst retrograde. This can give a rather dragging energy! Mars will stay Retrograde until January 2023. Here we are having to reconsider how we use our energy and why.
Gemini questions why, but also has a dual nature. So, we can often find in transits that are in Gemini, something either splits, or becomes doubled in some way. “Double action” or “Double partner”. But the retrograde motion asks us to think about these types of issues. If you have been breaking up, perhaps its now time to make up, if you have been scatty and rushed, it’s time to consider consolidation.
MERCURY RETROGRADES
In January, Mercury asks that we go back and recalculate matters to do with technology. We may also need to revisit friendship and social circles and review office politics. The Planet of Communication and Travel moves into its first retrograde position around 15th of this month in Aquarius. Air signs will be particularly affected to begin with. And later on in the month, earth signs will have their fair share too, as Mercury backs into Capricorn! This retrograde officially ends on February 3rd.
This year, we have 4 Mercury retrogrades, which is the maximum retrogrades that Mercury can have. And Mercury deals its retrograde energy out across 7 zodiac signs in total! The next is on May 10th to June 2nd and this will be a retrograde in Gemini and then in Taurus. The focus of the Gemini aspect is being over chatty and having errors in communication, while in Taurus we may need an overhaul on our organisation.
Virgo and Libra are next up on the Mercury retrograde signs, with a retrograde that takes place from September 9th till October 3rd or so. This is about balance in communication and could be a tricky one in terms of being picky with other people, or trying to nudge someone who has their arms folded in a grumpy, silent huff!
At the end of December, the last Mercury retrograde is in Capricorn. This is a “ doing” rather than “ speaking” transit and one that can concern organisation. This may not be a bad thing as we set goals for 2023…
But back to the current year!
2022 PREDICTIONS: ECLIPSES
Heads up for Scorpios and their opposite sign Taurus! Four major eclipses will be taking place in your signs! In fact, the only signs any eclipses will fall under this year. These eclipses will affect all signs in different ways.
There is a lot of shedding old skin for Scorpio and facing what hurts with Taurus! There is a Solar Eclipse on 30 April in Taurus, then a Lunar eclipse on May 16 in Scorpio. This is followed by a second solar eclipse for poor old Scorpio on 25th October and then finally a Lunar eclipse in Taurus on November 8th!
If you were feeling particularly jaded and frozen in 2021, Scorpio and Taurus , particularly with Saturn against you (which is about denial) then these eclipses may well be insisting you get your magnified glasses out and look at these issues once again in more depth.
2022 EARTH SIGNS OVERVIEW
Earth signs, Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn will be mainly focused on grounding their goals and ambitions in 2022. They have big business prospects for the year ahead. Taurus however, may well still be feeling the strain of dear old Saturn on its back, as well as Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius dictating what one can and can’t do, which often creates a feeling of limitation. Jupiter in Pisces is a good and positive influence for all Earth signs. Remaining positive and trusting in good outcomes will pay off.
2022 PREDICTIONS: WATER SIGNS OVERVIEW
Great news for water and signs now Jupiter is in Pisces. Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces all benefit from the flow of water, making things feel more temperate. Make the most of this from January 1st to May 10th and then from October again onwards. Scorpios in particular will be affected by the eclipses, but fellow water signs can expect unusual action during all the Eclipses too! But with the Jupiter influence all year, 2022 can be a really good year for all you water signs. And lets face it, you are due one of those!
2022 PREDICTIONS: AIR SIGNS OVERVIEW
Aquarius will continue to stay level headed and detached throughout the early months of 2022. Beautiful logic and invention will be ruling the mind, as Mercury is in Aquarius, where information sticks! Therefore realism will also ring true for the other air signs, Libra and Gemini too. Overall, it’s a really good start to the year for all you air signs. Harmonies are cast from luminaries Mercury and Saturn. This ability to be mentally agile should suit you air signs to make some real progress. Maybe you will even have that eureka moment you have been waiting for! This is a year of transformation for many of you air signs, with plenty of airy influence from Saturn in Aquarius showing you the way!
2022 PREDICTIONS: FIRE SIGNS OVERVIEW
This is a year to focus on finance and work success. Yet the balance of where this sits with spirituality will certainly come into question at some point. However, Jupiter also transits through Aries from May to October and this can be extremely favourable for fire signs. So favourable, that you may forget about everyone else! So be careful of “ me me attitudes” and remember we reminded you to keep your spiritual side in mind! This may seem like an overall quietish year for you fire signs, but there will be some wonderful surges of fiery energy for you to make some amazing progress in sudden bursts this year!
2022 PREDICTIONS-CONCLUSION
There are stronger, hopeful elements for 2022. Above all, Jupiter in his home sign of Pisces can bring a more peaceful year and one where luck is much more in favour. As this Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, this is also the end of a cycle. With Uranus also midway on its journey in the earth sign of Taurus, we can also expect some more jolts related to earthly matters, but also some surprises too. This, couples with the tail end of the Pluto in Capricorn transit, will mean that there is still a lot of focus on the earth and earthly matters, with governments struggling to make rules in a fair way to please the masses. On that note, you cant please everyone all of the time!
This year is likely to have more defined periods of surges of energy to get things done, with periods of rest and relaxation for most of us, on an individual basis. There are also several important breakthrough moments with the Neptune/Jupiter conjunction and also the Eclipses on the Taurus/Scorpio axis that can see situations ending and offer us new beginnings.
