And so, as 2021 gently draws towards its end, we look at what the last year of the month is likely to bring in. And the immediate answer to that one is to expect some real fireworks! The astrology of December is truly hot and busy!
Do carefully read this page until the very end, because, towards the end of December, something exciting is going to happen, which rings promising for a very different and more peaceful 2022.
SAGGI ASTROLOGY RULES!
The Sun is in fiery Sagittarius until December 20th, bringing so much energy with it this year, that some of us might feel some fatigue at the thought of participating with it at times! But you know what? For a lot of us in December this year, it may well feel that Christmas has come early!
Yes, the fiery pace will warm things up, as we head towards the festive season. There should also be some greater opportunities for rest and relaxation than there have been over the past few months.
This is also a very important month, not only because of the Christmas holiday, but also because there will be some serious energies coming in to make things happen! Bring it on!
ECLIPSE LIGHTS UP DECEMBER!
On 4th December, a New Moon Total Solar Eclipse shines a bright light. This really is a very promising energy, and could bring warmth to some cold corners of our lives, and possibly even ignite some flames! Career and relationship are just two areas that this could affect, and the ability for some positive things to turn over with a lovely new leaf. We will write to you about this in detail with a detailed New Moon Eclipse astrology report in a couple of days’ time.
Venus, the Planet of Love and Creativity goes into her first and only retrograde on December 8th. This happens once every 18 months or so. But actually, this retrograde can brings good things with it too. This time round, the retrograde happens in the earth sign of Capricorn. And perhaps the key words here are investment and agreement. But, investments can mean a lot of different things, such as how much time you want to invest into healing a situation, as well as money matters.
So, one of the influences you may feel is the need to inspect and repair relationships, especially those that have been left up in the air in the past. Likewise, this can be an exceptional time to have a good, hard look at your money and finances and have some great ideas. It’s also a great time to think about your creativity and what is needed to feed your soul.
WHAT MORE GOOD NEWS?
Yes there is a lot more good news. Firstly, Neptune, Planet of Dreams and Imagination goes direct for the first time since June. It does so in its home sign of Pisces. Spirituality and mindfulness comes back as a stronger focus. We may also begin to feel more connected once again.
On 13th December Mars, the masculine Planet of Drive and Determination moves out of Capricorn and into fiery Sagittarius. Now the pace really starts hotting up for real. In Capricorn, Mars energy was quite stodgy. So now, if you have felt like something has been holding up situations, particularly to do with contracts, government dealings, or practical matters, you may have some pleasant surprises coming. Adventure may also feel like its in the air, so right until the end of September, you may feel like shooting out that little arrow into unknown territories, to dare to get results. And in relationships? Sparks may fly. Love could feel more like a party! Just make sure you fan the flames, but don’t let them get out of control!
13- LUCKY FOR SOME!
Also on the 13th, Mercury moves into Capricorn. This is again wonderful for good will, feeling humble and thankful for what we have. Also, for concentrating and having great logic to apply yourself to find real and practical solutions. Communication can be straight forward, and very real too. That of course has good and negative aspects, so make sure you don’t come across as being blunt or hard when you feel like saying it like it is!
On 18th December a mischievous Full Moon in Gemini brings chatter to the table. Perfect if you have any pre-Christmas gatherings, or if you need some open talk! Again, more about this Full Moon from us in detail, nearer the time.
CHRISTMAS ASTROLOGY AND BEYOND
On December 21st the Sun moves into the earth sign of Capricorn at the Winter Solstice in the northern hemisphere and the Summer Solstice in the southern hemisphere. For us lot in the UK, it means it’s getting colder!
On the 23rd or 24th of December (depending on your time zone) there is a Saturn/Uranus square. There always has to be one piece of possibly bad news, and we’re afraid this is it. This can cause action, but also friction. Something may happen at this time that feels like an obstacle- and quite a big one at that. But it is something that will NEED to be overcome to get to green pastures and better results afterwards.
There is some jolly positive news that comes with this though, is that at virtually the same time, there is also a Jupiter/Uranus quintile, which can have magical effects. This is about recognising potential, which can be achieved through surprising breakthrough moments, even a lucky streak.
Christmas should feel more like Christmas again this year. And to top it all on December 28th we have a wonderful opening for 2022. In fact, this is one of THE biggest pieces of astrology news this year so far! Jupiter, the Planet of Expansion and Good Fortune, will move into the water sign of Pisces. This is also Jupiter’s home sign, where it feels at its strongest and most benevolent too. Romance, kindness, spiritual connection, opening of beliefs. You name it, it is coming. Jupiter often takes around 1 year to transit a sign, so this will be a welcome change as we look towards ringing in the New Year.
